Bouncer was born in May 1981, he had the looks of making a top class stallion from the first days of his life. Unfortunatly he lost his mother at the young age of 6 weeks. We did not hand rear him, so he became quite a character. When his companion foals were suckling their mothers, he would quietly walk behind and pinch some milk. By the end of September he was not looking his best, we decided to bring him inside, he took to hard food straightaway and developed well over the winter. On Easter Monday the following year he went to his first show and finished Reserve Champion. He travelled to a number of shows with great success, his wins that year included such shows like The Royal Welsh, Lampeter Stallion Show, Glanusk and N.P.S. to name just a few.

Over the years Bouncer has given us enormous pleasure both in the showring and by breeding top quality ponies. He has been Champion at Lampeter Stallion Show five times, and won The Royal Welsh on seven occasions bringing the Chetwynd Perpetual Trophy to Nebo four times. In 1988 he won the Supreme Champion at The Royal Welsh and represented the show at the Horse of the Year Show, Wembley.

He has been in the sire rating charts since the age of four and won for the first time in 1992. An achievement he has repeated eleven times since. Some of his noted progeny are Hengwys Tywysog, Tyngwndwn Moonlady, Tyngwndwn Daylight, Tyngwndwn Mischief and Hafodyrynys Cariad.

The stallion class at Lampeter Stallion Show 2008 was a sight worth seeing. The first 3 stallions were all sired by Bouncer, 1st Bryncarreg Lightning Jack (who went on to win the supreme of the show), 2nd Llanwenarth Flash Jack and 3rd Glanteifi Morgan Jones.
